This web site is intended to supply information to those wanting to learn more about the proposed expansion of Billy Bishop Airport than can be found on the web sites of the City of Toronto, Porter Airlines, or the Toronto Port Authority. Research on that proposal is now discontinued by the Toronto Port Authority (PortsToronto).
We believe that fully understanding the implications of this airport expansion proposal will lead independently-thinking people to see the expansion as a bad thing for the City of Toronto and its people, now and in the future. In November 2015 the Federal Minister of Transport, Hon. Marc Garneau, stated his department's decision not to open the Tripartite Agreement for changes. On March 9, 2016 the House of Commons debated and voted against a Conservative motion to re-open debate on airport expansion. Links to details of this debate and vote can be found in the "Documents" section of this web site. Important dates
